She has all this family background towards journalism and political analysis and she wants to be an actress?

Well, I suppose she's pretty enough. :\ I can't understand some people's choices, though, and here's hoping she doesn't get into drugs or something. BE SMART, OLIVIA WILDE.

Some people love acting. Shocker, someone having their own passions, I know.

There's nothing wrong with that, I'm just...surprised. Any time someone ventures out of the field their family dominates, I wonder if it's because they actually have a passion for it or if they just want to be different.

(It also boggles my mind a bit because journalism is a widely varied field, with room for art if you have the connections, which she appears to. I just don't see the motivation for becoming a Hollywood actress versus a stage actress if you love acting, I guess.)

Well, though, she is a really terrible actress. On House she is basically a cardboard cutout with boobs.
