god, I hate that cliché. So many brilliant people are not socially inept at all, but very eloquent, charming, and amazingly good at manipulating people, wrapping them around their little finger etc. Or, yknow, they're just really nice, socially normal people whose general social behaviour is not one bit different from averagely intelligent people. Can we please stop with the "most gifted people are socially inept" bullshit? Some are. Maybe even many. But most? Really?
