I watched it as a kid, so I still have that reaction to Buffy/Angel in the first half of season two. Then I remember that it's kind of creepy but the TRAGIC DOOMED LOVE!!

I don't even like Buffy/Angel (I personally never saw any chemistry or heat between them but that could have been because I was rooting for Cordelia/Angel even before ATS started) but I really, really agree with this secret. I can see how it would get annoying to only find angsty fics about your OTP. Everybody needs some fluff now and then!

OP, you can write whatever you like! If Buffy and Angel hadn't been sweet in the beginning, the switch to Angelus wouldn't have been so painful, so there's nothing wrong with finding their courtship appealing (and it sounds like you have a sense of humor about the age difference, too).
