Then I got invested in a ship that doesn't have as much fic written about it as other fandoms, and from what I've read so far, about 90% of it is what could be objectively labeled garbage. But I grew to appreciate the fic in all its badly written glory, so much so that some of it has become my favorite fic ever because of the emotions, not so much how things are presented.Basically, two years ago, I would've been like, "fuck that, fic writers should take PRIDE in their craft!!!" but now I'm more of the 'write and let write' mentality. If fic writers want to improve, that's fantastic, and if they just want to have fun with a hobby, that's cool, tool.
