Not Dan? I felt like that was a speculation I ran across a couple of times (not that Rorschach/Dan ever hooked up, but that Rorschach was slightly attracted to him). Though, I guess there's Rorschach's couple of lines pondering if Adrian's gay or not.

I don't ship him with Dan, if that's what you mean? I know that the majority of the fandom seems to, though. But I had no clue that anyone shipped him with Adrian before I read the secret.

i too can't ship rorschach. never got into the fandom, so maybe that's why, but just watching the movie i was like "can i ship this guy?" and the answer was "nope".

I feel like I could have written this. He's sort of a role model to me, too, in a way I'm reluctant to examine too closely. Repression serves a valuable function.

And yeah, shipping him with anyone? Uh uh. Way too disturbing, and way too ooc.

Rorshach was repressed? Seems to me he was pretty vocal/physical about showing his displeasure, and very honest and direct about how he feels about everything.

I'm not a huge Watchmen buff so this is just my view on things, but it seems undeniable that he's at least sexually repressed (you can make arguments about asexuality etc, but from my point of view, everything points towards repression rather than that). Beyond that, I think he represses anything that doesn't precisely fit into his idea of what is moral and what he should be - we've all had thoughts and ideas that go against our moral compass, but he would never acknowledge that even to himself. He's direct and upfront about what he believes in, but I don't think he's honest even to himself about everything he feels.

My guess is that anon means sexually repressed. I guess it's a toss-up as to whether Rorshach was asexual or just repressing all sexual urges after a traumatic childhood?

Either way, ace is fine, no shame in it, but it seems like genuinely repressing yourself is not a recipe for a healthy, happy life.

I disagree- I don't think Rorschach wasn't supposed to be a role model in any "way, shape, or form."

He wasn't a good person, yeah, but he died for his principles and for the truth, and I thought that was very admirable.
