I dunno, it makes sense to me that an anime club would help out and donate towards the Japan relief effort. The club clearly appreciates and highly regards a product Japan exports. I don't understand why people would hate on you. You'd think they'd be more upset if you DIDN'T help.

Besides, if you guys were donating to the Red Cross they use those funds for their intended purpose, but if they have an overflow of donations that the country doesn't need they will put that money towards other efforts they support. Everyone wins either way.
