Disagreed. If your religious beliefs do not extend basic human rights to all people every where, then yes, you need to be ashamed. If you are capable of realizing that your religious beliefs are your OWN and that no one else on the planet is obligated to follow what you follow, then be my guest.

As a rule of thumb, the people who want to restrict the rights of people who don't agree with themselves are not ashamed about their beliefs. The people who are more sensitive and aware of the feelings of people who disagree with themselves are both the ones who need feel no shame and paradoxically the ones that occasionally do feel it.
