OP here. I see what you are saying, and it would work for me, only the major that I have chosen isn't offered by a whole lot of schools, and I'm choosing the college for the networking opportunities and the classes rather than the prestige (it's a good school, but it isn't a famous school like Harvard or anything).

Just wanted to clear that up. :)

If you're doing this to do some sort of film thing? Seriously. Forget it. You're better off majoring in something that will get you a good-paying job to afford your films and actually work on your own stuff yourself.

The so-called "networking" isn't guaranteed, and everyone is out for themselves in the classes. Unless you are absolutely the professor's favorite, bye-bye networking!

You know, you don't have to be a film major to need good networking. To get any great job, you need the right networking and opportunities presented to you.
