I agree, he's the only guy I can remember who Carrie had a significant relationship with that I thought treated her right, but something about him grated on me. I think maybe it was because he was so good and sweet and seemingly perfect, and that I could tell the show expected me to like him, that I found him off-putting. Up until that point he was pretty much the only character who wasn't dysfunctional or neurotic in any way, which also made him pretty boring. At least Carrie made up for it by being neurotic enough for like 7 people, heh.

Wow, I didn't know I had so much to say about this. :o

Yes, exactly. I can't remember a problem they had that wasn't Carrie just being neurotic, and I wanted Aiden to cause some of problems. I think I was also so annoyed that he couldn't see Carrie was all wrong for him, but instead asked her to marry him anyway. I just had a low opinion of his perception of their relationship.
