Yeah, but they're addressing them as 'ACAW Players' which is just riding out on the previous drama here.

yes, it was a quote from a comment. I couldn't care less where the crack comes from, the point is, it's tiring.

Hey, uh I don't mean to be rude but it usually all runs into a thread anyway... and you have to click a thread under one comment... which you'd kinda have to click to read... so, I mean if people are enjoying themselves and all couldn't you just avoid those threads? I mean I know maybe it gets out of hand but... Still, you can choose what you read?

[identity profile] failaga.livejournal.com 2007-06-05 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok, so that didnt come out very coherently...

(Anonymous) 2007-06-05 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
you're not being rude at all. it is true that it does eventually all get "squished", but it's still visible for some time, and most of the time I'm late on the scene so I don't know what "squished" threads hold insanity and which ones don't. I like to read through comments for interesting discussion, and much of the time, those interesting threads are laced with crack, or they completely derail in the middle of discussion and go offtopic due to random spam. after sifting through all the clutter for the nth time, it gets frustrating.

I'm not a killjoy, I mean, I laugh about penis jokes and inside jokes and everything too. but really, there is a time to stop and take it to a chatroom or instant message or something instead.

Well, I guess apart from the ones that start from "PEDO!" comments it can be hard to tell *dies* unless you look for specific people involved and ignore them? Some people always end up derailing stuff? But I can see what you're saying

Uh, out of curiosity are you the same person whose thread got frozen yesterday? Just to gauge how many people are getting annoyed, rather than anything else.

(Anonymous) 2007-06-05 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
that's actually not a bad idea. I haven't really been keeping track of who does it most often, though I probably should.

and I can honestly say that wasn't me. I didn't even know a thread got frozen yesterday, now I'm curious and want to snoop.

Makes snooping far easier.

(Anonymous) 2007-06-05 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
you shouldn't feed my snooping habits. :C thanks for the link!

I suppose you can see why I asked now? Was just reacting to your "snark met with snark" comment and wondered if that might have been you flipping your lid
