Maybe because she doesn't actually know the genderidentity of this person? She's met them in person, yeaa, but she will never know wether they're really trans. My first account on lj was as a woman because I was uncertain about my genderidentity and it made it possible for me to try it out in a safe setting. You can never know for sure what someone identifies as.

well, the OP made a reply on the first comment saying that they have it from the guy's closest friend that he's a regular guy who just uses a female name so people will be nicer

First of all; No, OP never said that the friend said anything about being treated nicer. Op simply said that this persons best friend said he was a "guy with a lady pseudonym" not the REASON why he did it.

Also; That doesn't say much. The only trans guy I ever really knew didn't come out to anyone, including his best friend, until his twenties and often claimed to just "like dressing like a dude, lol" before that.

He's 33 if that helps. I can't say WHY I can only speculate which doesn't mean much, but he had a lot of work that had adult themes in nature. Then he went to the lady name and got published.

Nothing I can say about him can't be countered by someone debating he's trans though. You'll just have to take my word and that doesn't mean much on the internet.
