It honest to God just bugs me that you're so fine with marginalising people into a group like that. Not all men are evil, darling, and not all women are innocent, either.

No. You're wrong. I'm sorry you've had bad luck with men, but you can't say that. The only person who is close to me and has NOT hurt me has been a man, and when you say such stupid things like that, I can not take you seriously. I don't know what crawled up your ass and died, but seriously, you need to get a new hobby, or meet some new men.

This. Pretty sure my boyfriend, who has stood by me despite me having horrible anxiety after years of abuse from my ex, is an example of a man who cares.

I know what you mean. The only person who has both gotten close to me and never once caused me pain was a man. Best person in the world.
