OP made the mistake of choosing a picture from the first chapter, where she's noticeably thinner. She actually puts on a bit of weight both in art and in story with later chapters, like the one the cover's from.

What I love is that she started off Standard Anime Girl and then actually got a little bit heftier - mostly up top, but really all through her body. And it was brought up in story by everyone but her as a good thing.

You call those "chunky thighs"? I'd love to have thighs that slim. Unfortunately I put on weight easily and it all goes straight to my thighs (as the saying goes). I'm slim everywhere else, but I have short legs and thighs that are wider than my hips. It's embarrassing because I can't wear most pants or jeans without looking like I have growths on the side of my legs. Sometimes I hate my metabolism.
