yep! Yoko Ono was very committed in feminism, and that was one of the first things which surprised and interested Lennon, the fact that she stood up for herself, as a woman, contrary to most of the ones he'd encountered so far. She really blew his mind at this level. If you interested by this, you can read "the Ballad of John and Yoko" (the short story, not the song) that John wrote about his meeting with her, and this particular matter.
