And Bruce was... tat rich brat who played tennis and Jessica had a crush on him? He used to date her but then she realised what an asshole he was? Right? And when that fat girl lost some weight he finally noticed her but it was too late.. Is it that Bruce?

Yep! He was a total asshole, but somehow I found him charming...in an assholish way, of course.

Gotta admit though, I LOVED when Lila and Bruce hooked up later on after years and years of hating each other. Oh, rich families.

I hated Lila generally, though. Except in one book where she almost got date-raped and became a recluse and depressed and I felt bad for her. :(

I havent't read very many books of the series and I thought they vere quite sweet and rather innocent..., but now when you speak about it, it seems like they've got a good amount of date-rapes...

Actually, many ARE sweet and innocent and just regular HS problems... it wasn't until the main series got depressing way later on (and the random thriller/mystery one-offs) that it got to be uh, really dramatic. LOL
