Whoa!! I read a lot of these when I was little--not as much as the Babysitters' Club, though.

Also, does anyone remember the TV show?

OMG Yes!! I'm not sure if it was a dream or for real, but was there ever an episode where I think Elizabeth gets kidnapped and everyone is trying to find her? I could swear there was something like that.

I don't know if there was a TV episode of it, but there was definitely a book in the series with that plot.

YESSSSS THE TV SHOW!!! OH it was so bad I loved it.

Now that you see one of the actresses who played the twins working in the industry and the other doesn't, I always wondered if she convinced her twin to do the show just so she could get into showbiz.

I was young enough that I thought it was good--or something, I dunno, I do remember my mind being blown, BLOWN, I tell you, during one episode where Elizabeth was pretending to be Jessica and I worked out that this meant that the actress was pretending to be Elizabeth who was pretending to be Jessica. LIKE OMG RIGHT??? Heheheh.

I always sort of wonder about any actor who ends up on kiddie dramas and sitcoms... but your theory is kind of neat :D
