Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the secret's ambiguous as to why the OP can't take it seriously. As someone else said, mpreg is very rarely used to explore trans issues, and that could actually be part of what makes it hard to take seriously for some people, not so much the biology part of it. (I know that I agree with what someone else said about it in that part of what disappoints me about a lot of it is the fact that issues involving gender are either shrugged off in a chapter or just aren't addressed at all, like it's not something that the character would think about.) Alternatively, a lot of mpreg focuses on character interaction-related drama, rather than exploring how the pregnancy impacts the characters' social lives (e.g., how the people around them like coworkers, etc. handle it and not just whether or not they want to have lots of sex and whatnot with each other), daily lives, or biology past the obvious "but how does it come out" (like what the hormones do to a person).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that your point is valid; certain men can bear children. It's just that there's a lot of things most mpreg fic could cover but don't for whatever reason, so there's a lot of different reasons why it might not sit well with readers besides the biological issues. If the secret was covering these other potential issues, that's cool. If it was exclusively about the biological aspect, well, then, okay. But on the other hand, what someone else said is also correct. Most mpreg deals with cis guys who somehow end up pregnant, so the complaint is still valid on a level as well.

What's the point of this comment? No, seriously, when have I ever said anything that contradicts this? I said that some men can get pregnant. THAT'S ALL. What's up with cis people gettin ridiculously defensive about it? OP says they think less of ANYONE who writes it seriously. That is kind of stupid considering some men can get pregnant. That's all. I don't get what you guys want from me, tbh.

It's pretty obvious we want you to admit that your point doesn't have much to do with the mpreg concept as fandom knows it. But I'm well aware that you won't, that the only reason you posted in this thread is to start shit, so I'm not holding my breath :)

Yes, clearly the person writing a comment saying "some men can get pregnant" is the one trying to start shit. Not the ones who are, say, telling me that ftm's shouldn't be reffered to as men. Clearly.
