I like to imagine everything with the Who actors is them undercover/chameleon-circuitised. I should get out of the Who fandom more.

I feel kind of bad for actors who get overshadowed by characters they've played on other projects.

Especially when those characters distort in any way (positive or negative) the audience's perceptions of this new, unrelated character. It seems really unfair.

personally, I think this is excellent as it now explains the beautifully-written-in-a-detached-descriptive-kind-of-way thing that the Berlin Novels has going on. It's the Doctor dealing with being on the slow path and having to stand by and watch the Nazis take over Germany. Yep, that's definitely not crazy.

Well, technically it'd be the quasi-fictional *character* Christopher that appears in the TV movie who would be the Doctor. (Dammit, Isherwood, stop using your own name for the based-on-yourself character!)

But oh, god, Wystan!Master... that breaks my brain a bit.
