They were equals, colleagues, but otherwise, THIS. Fringe fic-writing fandom is small to begin with so rare pairs are, well, rare, but when it comes to these two there's the added difficulty of them being very different people in the current time line. I've started and abandoned a couple Bell/Bishop fics because I just can't figure out how I'd write them as 20/30/40-somethings while staying true to what we know about them then and now. Walter especially, given what we know about his little brain excision. I also can't pair anyone with current-Walter (his diminished capacity just makes it sorta squicky for me), so I can't go that route.

If someone managed to write good Bell/Bishop, though, I'd read the hell out of it.
