Ugh, seriously. She gets enough slut-shaming within the show. And yeah, why is there no fandom? I've been looking for one for ages.

I actually liked how she's been treated within the show. I mean, her father and some other randoms did shame her, but I think it was clear that the show overall wasn't on board with that message, and the people that count (her mother and Lip) didn't slut-shame her as you'd expect. I mean, Lip did call her a whore once, but it was clear even then that what he meant was "promiscuous" without any judgement (which he later confirmed), and he apologized for it in a way that made it clear he was the asshole in the situation. I actually found it refreshing how cool Lip was with her promiscuity, and how, even when he perhaps didn't like it, he didn't feel entitled to tell her how to live her life.

Am I turning a blind eye on something problematic?

Oh no, I meant how characters in the show (mainly her father) treat her, not the show itself in a meta sense. Sorry, that wasn't really clear ^^;

Oh okay. I just asked because I sometimes can't help being more forgiving to the things I like, to the point of not even seing the faults, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't ignoring something.
