The dub is always going to have a huge place in my heart (come on, Sailor Says, who does not need that good advice about brushing their teeth!) but… that's also mostly the DiC seasons. The Cloverway parts? I will not touch it with a ten foot pole––probably because it came out when I was fourteen, not five. Less nostalgia. And, I think, especially regarding homophobic character changes, even fewer excuses for even more changes. ("Cousins", and Fish Eye, fuck you I love Fish Eye okay.)

But both groups did a pretty piss poor job translating a story. If you have to switch the gender of two separate characters to keep a love story in tact, and slice down the finale of the first season into one episode to avoid making it obvious that the characters are dying and not ~going to sleep~, well… I lose a lot of respect for you as a translator.

But because of those dubs I will forever hear Luna as a stodgy old British nanny. GDI.
