No. I'm also not the one making excuses for a slimeball who drugged and anally raped a 13-year-old girl.

I'm not exactly defending him, but I'm not quick to judge him so hard either, so maybe I am making excuses for him. I thought I was making a list of reasons for why Polanski did what he did, from an objective point, but okay.

But guess what? I'm not gonna start protests for his sake and I'm not even going to defend him in public. Doesn't mean it's my mission in life to hate him, even if it's what you think I should be feeling.

It's nice to know there's always someone trying to give others grief when they don't agree with them.

When "don't agree" is fancy backpedaling talk for "excusing a rapist," it's very comforting to know there are people who will give you grief about that. It means not everyone in the world has turned into a raging dickwad.

I don't think I'm excusing a rapist. I never said "hey guys, it's okay to rape and here's why!". I think you just have a problem with the fact that I don't share every view that you have.
And who are you calling a raging dickwad? Imo I've been very civil despite our differing opinions.

So: I don't hate Polanski, but I hate what he did. I don't even like him, but I don't hate him. I do however, like his movies, and will keep watching them in the future. What he's like as a person doesn't affect my enjoyment of his movies. You can't change how I feel just because you feel you're right and think I'm wrong.
I think it's best we agreed that we disagree.
