I agree with the nostalgia factor with the old dubs. :) They were so much fun! My best friend in grade school and I used to hang out at her house and play with her Sailor Scouts dolls and run around pretending to be members thereof, so there's even more nostalgia there, especially for the English Dub names they gave the characters.

... also agreeing with others in preferring dubbed voices. Usagi's voice in the originals was just -- irritating beyond belief for me.

That said, although the voices were fine in the dubs, alas for the butchering of various parts of the story! :( I was disappointed when I found out that the show I watched and adored had lots of stuff cut and rearranged - and not for the better. Because there totally have been some series cut down and streamlined for the better (Mobile Suit Gundam and the condensing of the series into 3 2-hour-ish movies, for example.)

Seeeriously. Movies >>> show, in that case. Even the movies, when I ~~forced my friends to watch~~ showed them to my college friends, most of them thought the second one was too dang long.

And hell yes playing Sailor Moon. I was more of the age where we played Rainbow Brite, but I caught the tail end of SM, too. To this day, the only ~change that really irks me about the dub is the homophobia, but I still thought they were lovers even as an eleven-year-old in the deep south, so it's not like their attempts worked. =P
