To each their own, OP. Everyone here is talking about how nostalgic they feel for the dub, but even as a kid I couldn't really handle it. Of course, I was 11 when it came out, so older than most of you. The pacing really bugged me (I wasn't young enough to know what this was, but it always just felt like the stories came out 'wrong') and I didn't understand why everyone was so mean to Serena. I didn't understand why Molly sounded like she was a chain-smoking 45-year old Long Island woman - because I was also an avid SNL fan as a kid, every time I heard her, I could only think "Oh, it's like buttah!' (Linda Richman). I didn't understand the last episode of season 1 at all. There was just sort of an inherent ridiculousness to it.

In fact, Sailor Moon made me a very young and very insufferable 'subs over dubs' girl. It made me into an 11-year old with OPINIONS on Americanization, yikes. In retrospect, I was a real snob. But, in my defense: 11.

But nothing can quite capture the excitement I felt when I popped the first VHS of Sailor Moon S into my VCR, and Moonlight Densetsu in original Japanese played back to me. It was like seeing a secret thing I wasn't supposed to see.
