Most people on the intarbuts claim all sorts of mental problems, just because it's easier than taking responsibility for their actions. I'm sure some of them really do. Most of the legitimate ones don't bring it up unless it actually has to do with the conversation or it's in their personal space (lj entries just for it, for example).
Re: #10
Ticks me off that so many people claim to be "bipolar" just because they have mood swings.
Being bipolar is not fun. I don't even have full-on bipolar disorder (Bipolar Type 2 is a watered-down version; higher lows, lower highs, slightly-easier-to-control emotions) and it SUCKS.
I can't help but pity the people who would choose bipolar disorder, autism, Asperger's, schizophrenia, or anything else that screws with your mind over simple taking responsibility for being an utter asshat.
It's dumb, simple as that.
And I know an amazing girl in fandom who's FABULOUS~~ and sweet and totally not an asshat and you wouldn't know she has Asperger's syndrome until she told you! She's also rly smart.Re: #10
(Anonymous) 2007-06-07 04:05 am (UTC)(link)She caused SO much stupid drama with my other friend who also had a mental problem (that I did not find out about for at least 3 years of talking to her.)
I think the girl I despised wanted to be the most liked disabled girl in our little group. :/ :/
