Argh, I really hope this doesn't out me, although it's such a little-known fic that I doubt that's worry, but...it was an OCxRufus pairing.

Yeah, now you know why I want someone to rip it to shreds.

Ah, so not the one I was thinking of! But I can understand the cringing horror that is looking at stuff you wrote years ago. Maybe you can spork it yourself? I did that once and it's a surprisingly soothing experience.

I feel kinda like this about VOID by Waxjism (it's a CRAZY AWESOME OT3 AU of the not-so-blockbuster-movie The Faculty w/ Elijah Wood and Josh Hartnett), although I certainly don't go look for updates everyday (anymore). I've pretty much given up at this point, BUT at one point i was figuratively banging my head against the walls wondering why the author wouldn't update WHY DOES SHE HATE ME WHAT HAVE I EVER DONE TO HER???? That fic was frickin EPIC. Even in its (permanent) WIP state I have read it so many times.

I feel the same way about a fanfic in the FF VIII fandom. The author only made like, four chapters, and I dunno, maybe it could be considered finished, though he/she wrote at the end of the latest chapter that they might put up another chapter...which was about five years ago or so. And it just makes me feel a bit sad I guess, because even though I think the fic ended at a good point, I still would have loved to read mooore. But I guess that's life - can't always get what you want.
