Judging from the responses here (and the fact that he IS fuckin' hot like that), the ones who made the movie are the ones doing it wrong. Scars and body mods are hot as hell - where do they get the idea that he's ugly?

No, you're not. Even the Gaia Online fangirls were up in arms about "how the hell is this ugly, I'd (verb) that like a (cliche)" when they did their little sponsored ad for it, and nearly EVERYBODY was complaining that the sponsored item was a little rose instead of the awesome scars and tats.

I agree 100%. In fact, his 'ugly' look was the only reason I had any interest in seeing this stupid movie at all. Before the transformation he was just conventional and ordinary, and after he looked strange and interesting, which in my book translates into 'gorgeous'.

Also, if scars and tattoos make you a hideous monster than a mob of peasants with torches and pitchforks should be coming to bust down my front door any minute now.
