I might be completely off here (never been in that situation after all,) but isn't falling in love something that's supposedly out of a person's control?

I've heard people say that before, but I don't believe it. Everyone is responsible for maintaining strong boundaries and not getting inappropriately close to others. You're going to find yourself attracted to the unattainable sometimes, but love isn't some unstoppable force that robs you of all reason. You can distance yourself a bit and go meet other people.

iawtc-- I don't think you can control who you're attracted to, and if you let it go unchecked, you can't really control who you fall in love with. but if you realize you're starting to have DANGER DANGER feelings for someone you shouldn't, there are more than a few ways to step back and try to stop it.
