I met my best friend when I was 12. He was the same age, and knew he was gay even then. It took about a year before I was madly in love with him, and have been ever since. I never told him, of course, and just tried to be the best friend I could for him. But two years ago, when we were 20, he realized that he loved me too, like I loved him, not just as friends, but as lovers too. He's still more attracted to men than women, but he loves me, and yes, we have amazing sex too, which we are both in to, before anyone asks. So, all I wanted to say was... don't give up hope. Obviously everyone's story isn't going to turn out the way mine did, but sexuality really isn't as set in stone as people would like to believe. It's about love. That's all.

Is it possible he's bisexual? Please don't be telling people to fall in love with gay men and that "it will all work out". While it CAN happen it's better to not set yourself up that way.

I mean I'm very happy for you and all but it's really not good advice to give someone who just lost a friendship over this.

No, that's what I mean to say -- He IS bisexual. He just didn't know it. It's not that I'm the only woman he's attracted to, now that he's with me he IS attracted to women, though, like I said, he is more often attracted to men.

I don't know the exact circumstances of the OP -- I certainly hope she hasn't completely lost her friendship. I don't really see why love would be a reason for that to happen.
