Be sure to follow the instructions in the FandomSecrets profile and the rules on the Current Secret Submissions Post for the week, too. There are guides and explanations there. It is important to read these! If you still have more questions, you can ask in the General Comments thread. It can be more useful than simply getting the first comment. :)

I sometimes get this feeling (like after that yesterday's secret where the OP said they make about 10 secrets a week), but I think a lot of people still make secrets.
I made one last week, and the one before that was maybe 2 months ago. IDK, I'd say most of the secret-submitters submit sporadically/in moderation.

Oh, honey. This has been fandomsecrets for the past few years. When I first came here, people were bitching about the posts being boring and everything sucking, and they still do the exact same thing now. I think it's just a rule of the internet that you have to complain about these things.

There are many secrets I want to make, but I only have MS paint. Also I'm lazy. o3o

I don't know, I've only posted secrets a few times. There has to be more people than that submitting, we have a couple of hundred every week after all.

No, do not pronounce the death! The death is not to come! Also I would be sad if it did, for I am only just made.

I don't think people are that organized about making secrets. There'll probably people who make a certain amount of secrets per week, but I know I do it in clumps. Every few months I make a whole mess of secrets and submit them all at once.

The thing about that a comm like this, I think, is that it isn't really suited to having "regulars". It needs fresh blood (and fresh meat) to keep from stagnating. There's only so many times the same people can or want to rehash "Willow is a lesbian you fucking homophobe."

I notice this place tends to get a second wind of sorts whenever some new or outside fandom community discovers it, starts mocking it, and then decides to submit tons of secrets for shits and giggles. (And then the regulars here get super pissy.) But then that dies down and it's back to snoozetown.

I agree. We do need some new blood because certain secrets have become so cliche I just don't even bother with them any more. Unfortunately, lately, that is the majority of them. I used to post a comment on every second or third secret on each daily listing way back when. Now I post a comment every other day, if that. It's all so repetitive.

I still maintain that banning the hitshipspiration secrets was the worst that ever happened to this comm.

I hope not. I've only posted a handful of secrets in the last few years, but I still visit to read them every day.

Yeah, I could have sworn that 3-4 months ago there were twice as many secrets per post. I remember when sometimes they reached past 100. Maybe the comm needs more pimping?

I've been on a secret-making drought for a good while now because I just don't feel like making them. I am now going to pretend this secret is about me and my failure to keep this community active. I AM THE CAUSE OF DEATH.

I actually have a backlog of them to get around to making and submitting. A backlog. Of secret ideas for secrets and the majority aren't lies. Cripes. That should be a secret.

Does the image mean you're referring to some OTHER community? I'm not sure it applies to this one...

IDK, I'm new here and I posted a secret a bit ago. So, there are some newcomers.

I think there's a certain number of secret makers who make a lot every week and sometimes it's a bit obvious. But I think another certain number of secret makers who do have a secret they want to make and they make it every so often. I do that. I used to think of one or two every week and submit them, but now, I just make one when I have something I want to confess on here.

Not only that, but there are always moments where one or two fandoms are huge and like half the secrets we get are of that fandom (SPN, Glee, Inception, etc.).

This one is nowhere near as dead as....KPop secrets. D= Sometimes I do worry that this place will die out, but it goes through slow stages and then picks up. It tends to pick up around the holidays since I guess people have more time. XD
