I don't think you should be ridiculed. 4chan's like any other place online, just that the "asshole" portion of the userbase is turned up to eleven. Maybe twelve.

I mostly browse /co/ for Homestuck Generals, Wakfu, and ponies, and threads can get REALLY ugly. But for the most part, yes, they're love.

4chan can be pretty bad at times, but honestly I find these times to be few and far between. It's not the SEVENTH CIRCLE OF HELL!!! like so many people I know make it out to be.

Maybe it's because I only hang out in /vp/, I dunno. /b/ is far too fast-moving and intimidating for me to even go near.

While I'm glad that you've discovered that not all 4chan browsers are horrible awful people, at the same time, I'm a little cranky that people lumped them all together in the first place.

It's kinda like Gaia Online. Everyone assumes that it's nothing but vapid 13 year olds having cybersex, but a lot of users are genuinely great people.

man, when I used to frequent, 4chan was a pretty cool guy. The ONLY reason I left was due to the fact that I couldn't know when /b/ would invade the board I frequented and spam guro/gorn all over the place. If I could have predicted that, I would still be there.
