I can only play Origins as a female Warden. I tried one game as a male Warden and realized the entire "in love with Alistair" dimension to the game was closed off to my character, and.....really, now, what's the point?

He and Varric are my favorite videogame characters ever. So adorable and sweet, the two of them.

I kind of want to try a male Warden playthrough anyway, just to see if they can get all bromancy and stuff. Which is rare for me, because I typically don't do male playthroughs at all. I imagine it'll be hard for me to do though. :( Because romance with Alistair is pretty much the highlight of the game for me, I might never actually get around to it.

I don't have DA II yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it eventually. I've still got plenty of stuff to do with Origins first so I'm in no rush. I mean, I haven't even finished a playthrough yet! And then there's the matter of DLC and I'm still unsure what the difference Awakenings adds too. Such a new fandom for me and it's pretty confusing with all this additional stuff.

Awakenings is a pretty cool expansion. It's short and ends right when you really get into it. The locations are beautiful and the quests easy and the companions fun.
