So, so true. I used to be "an anime fan", but nothing I've heard about in the last five years has held my interest and the handful of shows I actually was really into are all long-finished and pretty desolate, fandomwise.

I've found a fair amount of success with fandoms older than I am, though. I mean, if a fandom has hung on for as long as Star Trek or From Eroica With Love, then you know you're set.

From Eroica With Love! I haven't read that far (only have really craptastic scanlations, and the moment I started wanting to buy the manga, I swear it vanished off the shelves) but I love its crack. Its delicious, hilarious Cold War crack.
