Well yes. I don't know you could say that BBT is more of an easy comedy and not that deep. But anyway the things you described about him are what make it impossible for me to ship him with Penny or anyone really or understand people who love him so much. Sure he's entertaining on the show but if I knew someone like him I would probably hate him. Just my opinion though.

I find TBBT a lot of fun because I don't 'ship anyone. I just enjoy the geek jokes and behavior, because I know and have known a lot of fanboys like that.

GOOD. I am sorry and I LOVE all three characters/shows, but Sheldon/Penny is just insane and kinda, sorta, partially missing the point of his character, sry2say. I love their friendship, but the idea of them ever being romantic or sexual is just plain OOC. He's quite content being asexual; he doesn't need to be 'fixed.' I don't think Abed or Sherlock are asexual, personally, but Sheldon totally is and I think it oughta stay that way. (And yeah, I mean, it's a different kind of show. The three-camera sitcoms are always gonna be a little more schtick-y and broad strokes-ish than other shows.)

I used to really ship Sheldon/Penny but the show got weird this season and they keep beating us over the head with Leonard/Penny (ugh!) so I just gave up. Not really invested in TBBT anymore. BUT COMMUNITY YES YES YES PLZ DO WANT MOAR!! :D Abed/Troy is THE best bromance EVAR
