My kid brother was watching TV and it started playing. I didn't even know it was popular at the time. It just didn't strike me.

(Anonymous) 2011-04-14 01:30 am (UTC)(link)Even assuming that's hyperbole, I dunno, don't most people give a show at least half an episode before writing it off as crap. Think of all the really good sci-fi shows that have a really awkward start and become amazing later.
Eh, if it's not your thing, it's not your thing, though. I guess my real complaint is more that "terrible" is an objective term being used to express an opinion. Something being enjoyable or not, that's a case of YMMV. You can't really prove that a movie or a book or a show was enjoyable. No one is wrong about that.
You can be wrong about saying a movie/book/show is "good" or "bad." You can look at something objectively and see how it's good or bad.
