I watch Vampire Diaries for fun and try not to take it too seriously, but it definitely bugged me that Elena ended up moving past the fact that Damon essentially raped and physically tortured Caroline, one of Elena's closest friends. I know he's done a lot more than that since then, but that was my first moment of thinking, "Wtf? She's ok with that?" and since then I can't really let it go.

Definitely see your point, anon.

That has always bugged me. If someone had done that to one of my best friends, it would be near impossible for me to forgive him -- and yet they never directly addressed what he did. I can't really understand Elena moving past it without working that out. At least Caroline tossed him down a hallway.
