Whenever I see this character (or anything else about TVD) I can't help but to mourn the lost opportunity of a great redemption story. Instead they bombarded us with one unrelated, quickly resolved plot twist after another while the characters stayed exactly where they were in the beginning (with the exception of Caroline of course,) until I finally got board and stopped watching.
