Yeah, I don't know if they're really ignoring him. If it were up to me SP would be all Craig all the time because his nasally monotone cracks me up. Matt and Trey just have so many ridiculous characters to work with that they seem to forget about some of them (and their names-- Oh Clyde, how many different last names has he had now?)

I don't get the popularity of the pairing either, but it's hard for me to argue about interaction, because Christophe/Gregory from the movie are pretty much my OTP and they never interacted on screen, lol. Plus, I tend to like the extra cracky less popular pairings anyway like Kenny/Clyde, Stolovan and Stan/Craig.

Ah, not that much! Harris, I think Goodman once, but they always go back to Donovan. Butter's dad, that one ALWAYS drove me crazy. And Token, because on the episode he was William, they called him that lots of times.

Haha, I don't know, Chistophe/Gregory was never that 'wtf guys' to me, maybe because they're only in the movie? Hm, I'm all for the really cracky pairings that get occasional fic. I know a person who ships Wendy/Shelly, and when they told me I was 'THAT'S SO COOL I'M ALL FOR IT' . Actually, I think the only reason I dislike pairings such as Kenny/Butters and Craig/Tweek is because there is a shitton of angsty lovey-dovey fanfic and it doesn't make much sense to me.

Yeah, Matt and Trey seem to forget a lot, lol. People bring it up on the FAQ at Southparkstudios all the time and the guy always answers with something to the effect of "Um, yeah, they just don't keep track of stuff like that because they don't care. Calm down fandom."

I'm pretty much the same way about pairings. I mean, it's South Park and it's supposed to be ridiculous, so when I find Craig/Towelie on a now long forgotten twitter RP, I'm gonna read the shit out of that. There are some popular pairings I like, but like you said they can be angsty or take themselves too seriously, which I can only enjoy when it's done really well (like with Lex Talionis).

Wendy/Shelley sounds amazing, too. Two tough women who like to boss around Stan. Sign me up for that hotness!

Yeah, I believe Matt and Trey settle on "Steven" now for Mr.Stotch, though they use that name for a bunch of generic dudes. They seem to have a few names they feel are generic/"whitebread" enough to assign to minor characters:
Kevin (biggest example)
Steven
Kelly
Rebecca
Carol

And others. One of the female classmates has had a few different parents and two different names, but it's also likely because the less-distinct looking adults and children are placeholder character models that get used as Matt and Trey please.
