Although I did find Bianca annoying in-game, her anime presence and the way fandom depicts her is FUCKING ADORABLE.

idk, Pokemon is just one of those series where the fandom is predominately straight females, so it only makes sense that slash pairings are all over the place. I mean, I don't mind, but there's a definite lack of femslash and that makes me a sad panda.

I didn't find her all that annoying in the games, but I assume it has something to do with her "Genki Girl" general attitude? My impression is that she's pretty much excited to see the outside world (even when it comes to bite her in the behind), since her father is rather overprotective and all. And pretty much she wants to help out the MC in any way she can, and pretty much the best thing she can think of is to fight.

Maybe it's something else, I don't know. She pretty much just seemed well-meaning and endearing to me, even if she's a bit slow at times. I do wish she had a bit more direct involvement in fighting Team Plasma (like double battles alongside her) though obviously her final action was quite crucial to the plot.

As for fandom, I think it is pretty necessary to have at least some (for the game characters at least) if you're writing fics or roleplaying since, well, frankly Pokemon isn't the most involved RPG series ever, what with having pretty limited dialogue. (Though this one is a great improvement in terms of story, I think.) I think what I've picked up pretty well meshes together with both the games and what little I've seen of the anime.
