I know I'm trying to take the easy way out here, but I doubt I'll get round to reading the book (who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself). What's this about the intended homoeroticism? You don't have to say, but you've made me very curious.

The book doesn't make it explicit or anything, but the first meeting between Tyler and the Narrator is blatantly homoerotic. Instead of meeting on a plane like in the film, they meet on a nude beach and the Narrator watches Tyler build a sundial out of driftwood, marvelling at how beautiful he is and how he's thrusting long thick bits of wood into the sand. There's also parts where he describes Tyler as beautiful, and the way the kiss scene is written is more obviously sexual than in the film as well.

Also there's a direct quote from the book stating, "We have sort of a triangle thing going here. I want Tyler. Tyler wants Marla. Marla wants me."
