Nope, I'm truly in love with the Dark Nella saga. The storylines bring something new and fresh to reviews that might have otherwise been on the dull side. I think the storyline is fun and hilarious, and Nella is a fantastic actress so it's nice to see her show off her stuff. I'm excited for the conclusion thought I'll be really sad when it's done.

I don't have a problem with ALL the skits, it's just starting to get to me when so many videos seem to be more about the side-stories than about the actual movies being reviewed. I'll be watching a video and thinking "Noo, I clicked to hear you talk about the movie you're reviewing, not to see some silly story about your characters..."

(I've actually been wanting to vent about that for a while, and this thread is finally giving me an excuse to!)

My 2 cents: I don't mind the skits and all, but can we keep them separate from the reviews? That way those who like them can watch them and those of us who just wanna watch the reviews can enjoy them, as well And I'm sure some people will watch both.

I agree with this sfm.

But frankly, I'm might be taking a break from Nostalgia Chick for a while. Her 'The Craft' review hurt my feelings so much as a fan. The way she dismisses the Pagan faith.. just ugh. I understand that she was mocking young girls that turn to witchcraft out of adolescent angst but it just turned into an overall bashing of all pagans/witches. Had she done so towards any other faith she would have been lampooned, but since it was pagans we're supposed to just laugh right along. I'm sorry but RAWR.

Congratulations, you have an opinion. And you're allowed to have that opinion. But my opinion is the internet is a big enough playground that if you don't like something you don't have to watch it.

I agree completely!

I actually also feel this way about 90% of the storylines thrown into reviews. I mean, with videos such as Kickassia, it's fine because the whole idea of the video is to have a story about the characters from the site. But when skits and stories are thrown into actual reviews, I'm just thinking "Oh, come on, go back to talking about the movie! I clicked so I could hear what you have to say about this movie (or comic, song, etc), not to watch a skit that has nothing to do with it!"

I'm of two minds on the Dark Nella Saga. On the one hand, I was never crazy about the Nostalgia Chick's thread of ongoing verbal abuse towards Nella (this is just my opinion; your mileage may vary), so it's nice to get some payoff for that. Also, I love the original Dark Phoenix Saga to pieces. And Nella's adorable even when she's evil, and is clearly having fun in these skits. And, as a couple of people have pointed out, Lindsay is free to construct her videos however she wants.

That said, although the premise of the DNS is great, and the execution of same has its moments, it's also kind of repetitive. Ultimately, I visit this site for the reviews, and I agree that the skits crowd them out sometimes (I did like the Roland Emmerich ones), and the DNS would probably have worked better as a separate entity.
