Because of all the rainbows, and how people now associate rainbows with gays. I glossed over the image, but I imagine the hair/skirt/flowers/faerie, and the fact that Lutaris look like otters (and 'otter' is some slang in the gay community, I think?), and the bread loaf (which might come off as phallic) might cause paranoia about people getting the wrong idea about the customization.

....and? Why would they freeze it for looking gay? I think that would cause a shitstorm if people found out neopets was homophobic.

If people *found out* neo was homophobic? You can't even breathe a hint of homosexual reference on the boards without a warning/suspension/freezing!

Even mentioning an actor who recently came out, regardless of whether you talk about their orientation, can get you frozen! (read; Neil Patrick Harris, Lance Bass)

Also, I want Mega Homo Lutari too! Maybe make him on a side account?

uh, you can't talk about *anything* sexual on the boards. hetero-, homo-, *anything*. i sincerely doubt that anyone has been frozen for just mentioning nph or lance bass, unless they also referred to their sexuality in some way.

I definitely got a 48 hour suspension for talking about Doogie Howser and how I think NPH is cool. Had it not been a new account, I probably would have been frozen. Of course, I also hang out on the Newbie boards, which are... A special place. Gotta be very careful on there.

that's weird... what did they tell you in the warning? i don't know much about the boards; can other users report you or something? seems unfair!

They just quoted the post and said something about "Adult topics" and "Sexual conversation".

But yeah, other users report you. I'm reasonably certain they don't look for more than two seconds at any given post before deleting/freezing. They never take context into consideration or anything.

Aaaaaand I gave up on fairness on neo like seven years ago...

But it's not a violation of the rules in any way. >=/ I get the imagery, but that doesn't break the rules. They . . . That's . . . Argh, it pisses me off that they would even try that!

tnt hasn't tried anything! the op is just *worried* that they'll be frozen. it hasn't happened. and it probably wouldn't, because, as you said, the lutari doesn't break any rules. now, if op tried to give it the name "i_heart_cock" or something, there'd be a problem.
