Yes. So I don't understand the 'it would be interesting to hear male opinions on subjects I've only heard from women' I cannot think of a single subject that I haven't heard a male opinion on.

If a major criteria of having a man in a any space is because you want to hear their opinion on any subject, just google it.

Hmm, OP says she likes balanced discussions...which is not quite the same as googling a opinion, I would say. Discussions are not just about hearing new things, they're an exchange of minds. Otherwise you might just as well not talk to anyone anymore - men or women - because you heard it all before.

Okay. I guess. I don't really think women and men are that fundamentally different in many ways, so I never thought about it much. In the fandoms I'm in it is female dominated, but all the women are different and come from different places and have different opinions and views so I think there is a good mix of perspectives. I've never found a lack in fandom because of the absence of one gender.

Typically 'girly' things. For example, on the first page here is a discussion about Cinderella. I've never seen men discussing Disney princesses. I think it would be interesting to hear what they think about the line and if they consider them good role models for kids. And the Bratz vs. Barbie debate, what would men think of that? Stuff like that. IME, the fandom for the new My Little Pony show is only 'girly' fandom that has a lot of male opinions floating around.

Oh. You should hang around /co/ when a new Disney movie is released. It's lovely. Just pure enjoyment of the movie until the porn spammers come around. It actually seemed to be pretty equal on men and ladies.
