ETA: Do you really want to police everyone's sexuality or kinks in the off chance that they might actually act on those fantasies and harm someone? Incest, rape, guro -- there are plenty of other kinks that, if acted on IRL, could potentially harm someone else. I think you're really crossing over into the realm of thoughtcrime with this idea

I think this is the best analogy on this topic. Everyone seems to find weird kinks disturbing but it's considered totally normal in mainstream society to PAY to see blood and gore. I don't get it.

Yes, now how do you feel about gory porn?

The difference about gore is that we can generally find a motivation that makes it comprehensible (e.g. needing to get rid of someone to reach a larger goal). What we're talking about is probably closer to a film showing rape or torture for the sake of sadism, and well... you know as well as I do how fandom feels about that. In those cases, there isn't a larger goal, just the act itself.

Gory porn... Bloodplay can be intensely fun and sexy... WHEN IT'S FICTIONAL. Why do anons in F!S seem to have more trouble differentiating between harmless fiction and reality? Yes, there are some people who may be in danger of the slippery-slope effect concerning underage-children fiction bleeding into their everyday sexual appetites. But there's so many more who enjoy underage stories/art on the understanding that it's NOT real. Considering my circle of friends, I have had a brief introduction to shota and lolita stories, art, and even graphic novels. It wasn't exactly my taste, for the most part, but there was one with art that captivated me. Most commercial cases of underage romance (generally not something that I've seen in America, personally) have only used certain characteristics of childhood. For example, giving the child the basic stature and build of a child, but the mentality and sexuality of an adult, and genitalia somewhere in-between. This is primarily due to the fact that WE DON'T WANT TO FUCK CHILDREN. But there are singular traits which, when taken out of the realm of actual real-life children, could be seen as appealing.

tl;dr: L2fiction. Kids are not sexy. GOOD pedo-fic and pedo-art isn't convincing, which is why it's good. If it actually looked/seemed like an actual child, most "pedo" kink people I know would be disturbed, disgusted, and repulsed.
