The funny thing is I achive this rather easily. I have different pairings and situations to go with them too.
For cuddling and sweetness: [Hetalia] Sweden/Finland (yaoi), [WJuliet] Ito/Mikoto (het), [Cardcaptor] Sakura/Tomoyo(yuri), etc.
conflict: [Hetalia] UK/USA (yaoi), [Veronica Mars] Veronica/Logan (het).
Current OT3: [Red Riding Hood] Peter/Valerie/Henry, [White Collar] El/Neil/Peter, [Inception] Mal/Arthur/Ariadne.
And lots more. (Don't you judge me!)
I recomend when you go to bed relax and just 'daydream' or think about a situation with the pairing you want and relax. My mind kinda 'slips away' and I end up dreaming this up 7-8/10 times.
Although there are times I end up waking up thinking 'WTF?!' when things get out of hand.
