Seems like a lot of people do this, either entering or leaving fandom. And really, if you don't have a good reason not to read, what's wrong with reading? Nothing, that's what. You hang out as long as you want, OP.

Hey, you and me both. I've all but fallen out of fandom entirely. But I've come out of the closet, so to speak, and admitted to friends that I do read fandomsecrets. Do I get ridiculed? Sure! But it's my one guilty pleasure. I quite enjoy it and it's also a handy, wanky barometer of what's popular these days. Plus sometimes you get some awesome threads that make it entirely worthwhile (see #1 from 2 days back).

I used to be really active in certain fandoms (never on LJ though, I don't have an LJ account...okay I have one but it was used for something that a friend and I never got done so I haven't really used it at all), but now, I merely hang out on my own. Friends I've made from my main fandom kind of went onto other fandoms and I just...never got back into another one. I like being on the outskirts of fandom, it's more comfy for me. I comment (anon) on here from time to time and I don't read as many FS as I used to, but it's still fun to come here. I just find it a bit frustrating now that a lot of the secrets don't really interest me. Maybe I can change that by submitting secrets of fandoms I lurk at. =.=
