I've been called a wetback (even though I am a native citizen, and my family has been citizens for three generations). I've been called a gringo by people from Mexico, a beaner dyke by my classmates. I know how language can hurt.
But jumping on every single fucking thing that comes up is simply tiring. Venting in feminism communities and other such things? That's fine. But LJ has to learn how to know when it's appropriate to take the activism jacket off. Sometimes I just want to read some fucking secrets.
