I mean, they already have so many moments and they tease about it so much that making a Gravity montage that everybody would be like, "nothing new there!"

Exactly! In that respect, Abed/Pierce was a great choice, since they have some of the fewest interactions of anyone on the show.

(Also, Troy/Abed wouldn't have made their point, since so many people's reaction would be "yeah, exactly they're in love).

Man, I love my ship. So adorable. So almost canon.
