(Anonymous) 2011-04-29 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)what exactly is so wrong with making an 'armchair diagnosis' for a fictional character? And, to be honest, even if the OP isn't an expert, that doesn't make the OP's point any less valid.
Personally, I think the real issue with applying non-professional knowledge to another individual is risky is because
1.) Your diagnosis might be incorrect because you are misinterpreting something about the person, or you don't fully understand the whole picture.
and
2.) It may cause negative repercussions in the person you are diagnosing.
Again, Sasuke isn't a real person, so reason #1 is out. And in response to #2, his entire life story has been shown to every single reader of this series in great detail. His thought processes are shown to be both maladaptive, dangerous, and distressing.
He displays all of the symptoms of PTSD, and to be honest, I didn't really think it was a question. It seemed pretty obvious to me. (=_=)
