I love the hell out of coffee made in a French press. But would I rather sit in my house and drink it by myself, or would I rather drink slightly less delicious coffee with someone I cared about?
I'd rather have the company. Even if the coffee isn't great, it still gets the job done (unless it's decaf), and the company more than makes up for it. If no one's company can make up for it, then maybe I am just a little too focused on myself.
I don't fucking know. I guess that just because you enjoy a certain thing - caffeine or orgasms - doesn't mean you have to share it with anyone. And I'm probably being stupid for equating the enjoyment of a purely physical sensation with the degree of emotional closeness.

even if it's fun having, er, coffee with other people, I have yet to meet a sexual(caffeine-loving?) person who doesn't also massively value their alone coffee, too.
